Slow and Steady

This might sound like a very general tip, but players tend to miss things under the Fleet Management menu easily. It is very important to give time when looking at the fleet menu, so you can assign resources to cargo or mining ships according to your requirements.

Pacing the Resources

Judge how fast or slow you want to mine and collect resources depending on the sector’s needs and your goals. For example, a particular sector might require more carbon. In that case, you will assign more carbon to cargo and mining ships.

Priority Mining

Sometimes you can be in a difficult position when lacking a particular element. For example, there is a severe lack of iron and the requirement is high. In that case, switch off all the elements under the cargo ship menu, and enable iron for sometime. This will increase the stock of iron. Please note to only use this in emergency situations as this can cause a dis-balance in the stock of resources.

You can also change the priority of each element by left and right clicking on their block under the menu. Again, be extra careful in setting priorities because this will affect how you collect resources in the long term.

Increasing Mining or Cargo Ships

If you notice there is a constant lack of a single or multiple elements, it might be time to build new cargo or mining ship. Which one you will build depends on the situation. However, don’t be shy about expanding the number of ships.
