Every elite sniper needs a spotter as well.

The Sniper Elite Series returns with its latest installment: Sniper Elite 5. This marks the game’s first appearance on the current generation of consoles. Players who pick up Sniper Elite 5 will notice that the game has single-player and co-op as well. So what are the multiplayer options and how do you play co-op?

What Modes Can You Play in Sniper Elite 5?

In Sniper Elite 5, there are two options for fans of co-op. The first is the co-op campaign. This is just the game’s single-player campaign but with a second player. Having a second player allows you to carry out kills together.

The second option is survival. Survival is exactly what it sounds like: Players are forced to defend and survive against waves of enemies for as long as possible while looting ammo and other items. The mode gets harder as defeat each wave creating even more difficult enemies for you to survive against. Unfortunately, the competitive multiplayer from Sniper Elite does not return in this game.

How to Play With Your Friends?

Playing with friends in Sniper Elite 5 is pretty simple: Just go to the game’s main menu, select play, then select “Host Co-Op Game” or “Survival.” After that’s done, invite a friend and you’re all set. Multiplayer in Sniper Elite 5 is online only. No split-screen option is currently available to use.

Now that you know how to play co-op, enjoy sniping some Nazis with your friends. You can pick the game up on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
