Oxygen Not Included. A great name for a space base building simulation name. And of course, the name is not the only thing great about this game. It is in fact, according to Steam reviews, an overwhelmingly positive game. A very fun, albeit complex game once you leave the early stages, it is a gem amongst fans. Throughout the years, several features have been requested by the fans of Oxygen Not Included, to the point that even the developers mention that they receive constant feedback and requests from the fans. More specifically, they receive, mainly, one question: Is Oxygen Not Included Multiplayer? Well, here we have the answer.

Is Oxygen Not Included Multiplayer?

Although the developers are quite aware of the fan outcry for a multiplayer mode that certainly would be a major change and improvement for the game thanks to its genre and characteristics, currently there is no multiplayer available for Oxygen Not Included. Furthermore, the developers don’t have any plans to implement any multiplayer option of any sorts. They claim that the game was conceived as a single-player experience, so multiplayer was never in mind. Fair enough, the “if something is not broke, don’t fix it” criteria works. Not every game has to be multiplayer, and Oxygen Not Included will never be one. That does not mean you should refrain from playing the game. On the contrary, it is worth giving it a shot.

While you cannot play this game with friends or strangers, you can give this game a chance. It is not reviewed extraordinarily just for laughs and for mere trolling. At least not this time. Anyway, hope you have fun!
