Is Goat Simulator 3 Cross-Play?

When I tell my non-gamer friends about Goat Simulator, they first ask me, “Are you okay? Do you need to sit down?”. Once I get psychology evaluated and judged, I show them some of the clips of Coffee Stain Studios’ game, and then I get asked “Are you okay? Do you need to sit down?”. Anyway, that’s why I don’t have any non-gamer friends. Now, if you do have friends that embrace your craze for the goat, then you are for a lot of fun playing the multiplayer mode. It brings a 4 co-op online experience to the table alongside some mini-games. Four times the goat, for times the madness. But with the console wars concept still being a thing in 2022, then you know that not everyone share the same platform. That’s why cross-play exists, to connect all of us in a world of happiness, and destructiveness. So, is Goat Simulator 3 cross-play? Let’s find out.

Is Goat Simulator 3 Cross-Play?

Now, unfortunately for my goat-loving friends, the goats, Goat Simulator 3, while implementing online and local co-op, does not currently support any type of cross-play. That means that in order to play online with your friends, all of you will have to play on the same system. That’s an inconvenient since many more games nowadays thrive to feature as much connectivity and user-friendliness as possible. Having said that, all of this can change. That the developers could release a future update that will enable the possibility of cross-platform gaming. But like I said, nowadays, it is basically impossible.

If you want a friendly suggestion, I would say that playing online on PC is the best shot you got if you don’t have matching platforms. It is not so difficult to run and is much more probable that you have a PC rather than a next-gen console. But anyway, I hope Coffee Stain Studios gives us the opportunity to goat across all platforms soon. That would make them the real GOAT.
