How to Wheelie in Riders Republic

Turning your 2 wheeled bike into a proverbial unicycle has never been so cool

Those of us who remember the days of Trials HD and Trials Evolution will tell you that Ubisoft knows how to make a BMX game. Fast forwarding to current year, and their live service game Riders Republic, has a plethora of different vehicles and gear for players to enjoy. One of these being the trusty BMX bike. A staple in games like these, the bike can be used to pull off a myriad of sick tricks. And with a recent update adding skateboards, many are hopping back in to try out the new additions to the game.

Before attempting a wheelie there’s a few things you should know. First, you can pull this move off on virtually any bike except the Funkies. Second, to make sure you can manuever your bike however you please, make sure you enable the manual backward landing option in the settings. To do this simply navigate to your settings, go over to the gameplay tab, and swap the Bike Landing Backward option from automatic to manual. After doing this and hopping on your trusty bike, you’re ready to start wheelieing.

Once you’re on your bike, start peddling to pick up some speed. If you’re using a controller, while riding your bike, you’ll want to pull the left stick halfway downward. Doing this will lift your front wheel up, looking cool and stylish while you do it. If you somehow decided Riders Republic is a game you want to play with KB&M: seek help. To perform a wheelie on keyboard, you’ll need to hold down the left control and right shift keys at the same time. If you want to perform a nose manual, a.k.a. a backend wheelie, you’ll want to do the opposite of a normal wheelie. Instead of pulling the left stick halfway downward, you’ll want to push the stick halfway upward. A neat little trick that’s sure to make its way into your string on combos and moves on your way to stardom.
