How to Visit Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy

There are iconic places across the Wizarding World. Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, the Chamber of Secrets, The Forbidden Forest, and, of course, Azkaban. This place has seen the worst of the worst of the Wizarding World, and a couple of innocents as well. You’re welcome, Mister Black. I don’t know why would anyone like to visit Azkaban other than helping other prisoners escape by using some Polyjuice Potion. But, well, to each his own. Here is how to visit Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to Visit Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy

No, you won’t visit Azkaban for using the Unforgivable Curses, relax. Azkaban is in fact a place you can visit in Hogwarts Legacy, although it is not included in the map. How do you visit it then? Well, it will be impossible for the majority of you. And I say this because only members of the Hufflepuff House will get to visit Azkaban. So, if you want to go to this wizard prison, you must select Hufflepuff as your House.

You will have to play the early game until you finish the mission involving saving an old woman on the lakeside. That happens approximately on Mission 6. An owl will task you to talk to the portrait of Eldritch Diggory. Yes, as in Cedric Diggory. You will find it in Hufflepuff’s Common Room. Go ahead and speak to the portrait, who will ask you to work a case of an unsolved murder. Nothing better than asking teenagers to solve murder mysteries, but anyway. You will then travel towards upper Hogsmeade, where you will meet Helen Thistlewood.

Helen will aparate you to Azkaban, surprise! You will then continue to solve the crime. Before you do that, though, be sure to visit and explore everything you can in this section of the game, where you will get to see Dementors, although at a distance. Anyway, it is a very limited visit and a very short quest, so explore and once you are finished, end the quest.

You will only get to visit Azkaban this time, and you won’t get to come back again during the game, so go ahead and see everything there is to see. Like I said, the accessible area in Azkaban is very little, so you won’t take a lot to explore it entirely.
