Don’t get any herbology tips from me, I don’t do well with plants. You can ask me about cat care as much as you want, but plants? No, I am very limited in that area. Having said that, thankfully, being able to grow plants in Hogwarts Legacy is really simple. Thankfully, even guys like me will be able to perfectly grow their favorite magical plants. But first, we must collect and know how to use seeds in Hogwarts Legacy. You are in luck, that is exactly what we are going to talk about today.
How to Use Seeds in Hogwarts Legacy
As you may know, Herbology is one of the classes that you will be able to take as a Hogwarts student. Hogwarts Legacy is not the exception, so during the Main Quest #12, you will partake of a Herbology class, unlocking one of the 8 plants available in the game, the Dittany. To unlock the remaining 7, you will be able to purchase their seed from two stores in Hogsmeade: The Magic Neep, and Dogweed and Deathcap. Furthermore, each plant will require a different type of potting table to be able to grow it properly, you will be able to purchase them from Tomes and Scrolls for 1000 gold.
In order to grow the seeds, you will have to use either the Room of Requirement (unlocked at Main Quest #21, a requirement to grow all the seeds), or in the Herbology Greenhouses. The Room of Requirements is certainly the most comfortable location, since you will need to use conjuring spells to place the large potting tables. By the way, these spells are unlocked once you discover the Room of Requirement. Any way, in order to use and plant the seeds, interact with the potting table and select the seed you wish to use, then it will get planted. It will take anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes for the plant to grow. Once you harvest it, the timer will reset. Here is a table of all seeds, size, where to get them, and how much they cost.
Seed | Size | Where to Get | Cost |
