In Disney Dreamlight Valley, your character will lose energy over time as they complete various activities. Whether you’re running around trying to complete a mission, or gathering items to mine for resources. Eventually, your energy meter will start to drain and you will have to find ways to replenish it.

Even though simply eating basic ingredients will provide you with a boost of energy, consuming a full meal will restore your energy meter completely. It will also provide you with some bonus energy to burn off, which will turn your energy bar yellow.
Essentially, each meal has a star value, the higher the value, the more energy you will receive from that meal. However, before you can use any recipes to cook yourself a delicious meal, you’ll need to learn how to cook from the master chef himself, Remy.
Once you’ve unlocked the Chez Remy restaurant in the Valley, you can go inside and interact with the kitchen to start cooking with the ingredients you have in your inventory. As you begin cooking, Remy will react with either happy or sad emotions depending on how he feels about a certain recipe.
As you continue to mix and match with different ingredients, you will unlock a variety of recipes. These can then be used in the kitchen to cook up various meals for your character and replenish their energy.
