How to Use Hunter’s Arm and Climb Monsters in Wild Hearts

They may not be Colossi, but they sure are climbable.

There is no such thing as entertaining and blood pumping capable as getting to bring down enemies that are considerably larger and, well, stronger than you. Games such as Shadow of the Colossus taught me that even the most powerful and giant enemies can be defeated. If you are able to climb them and deal damage on their weak spots, of course. Well, today we will do just that, albeit with significantly smaller, but still large enemies in the land of Azuma. Here is how to use the Hunter’s Arm and climb monsters in Wild Hearts.

How to Use Hunter’s Arm and Climb Monsters

The Hunter’s Arm is one of the abilities available in the game that will be very useful throughout your adventures in Wild Hearts. While some abilities may provide an advantage in things that rely more on one’s protection and even character customization, the Hunter’s Arm is specifically designed towards combat. More specifically, it is designed to combat giant, almost kaiju sized enemies.

The way you will want to use the Hunter’s Arm is very simple. First, you will have to deal some damage to your Giant Kemono of choice. Overtime, some glowing blue spots will appear, these are the wounds you have inflicted. Once you have dealt enough damage to make them appear, sheathe your weapon and jump and press RB o R1 or the allocated button to grab onto those blue spots. Then, you can use L2 or LB or the allocated button to steal thread from the Giant Kemono. This will grant you an overload of thread that will accumulate past your normal limit. In turn, this enables you to bring some extra strength to your Karakuri, which means more damage dealt to your enemy.

Be sure to keep using this ability to gain a very significant advantage over your enemy. This will make sure that no Kemono, no matter the size, will be able to kill you. Or, well, at least they won’t have it as easy as before. Steal that thread and deal severe amounts of damage and remain victorious. Good luck!
