How to Use Event NP and Level Up Fast in Eternal Return

Something to focus on during your survival

In an attempt to cross the paths of the 2.5D perspective strategy game with the intensity of a battle royale, Eternal Return brings combat from all strains of life – be it offensive and defensive abilities with different ranged weapons. With many characters to choose from, based on preference and playstyle, players will be able to dedicate the grind on creating the perfect build for their character or rock multiple mains depending on the team’s composition when heading into a match. For those looking to make the perfect build, this is Vincent’s guide on how Event NP works and the best ways to level up fast in Eternal Return.

What is Event NP in Eternal Return?

For those who are new to Eternal Return, NP is the primary form of currency in the game. It is used to purchase Packs that can offer new characters and skins for players to get excited about and utilize directly into the survival arenas. Although Eternal Return offers a free form of currency which is gained through completing missions, you will often find that unless you grind the game, your most used currency will be the NP. However, there is a unique NP available that the game offers limited time for free unlike the standard NP that you would have to purchase in the in-game store.

Keep in mind however that Event NP works differently to standard NP in Eternal Return. The primary way is that it is on a timer which can be viewed at the top-right of the lobby screen. The NP is divided into two categories: NP (Blue Gem) and Event NP (Green Gem). You should hover over the Green Gem to note how long is left to use your gained Event NP before it vanishes from your account for good. When purchasing in the store, Event NP is always used first. If the cost of an item is too much for the Event NP to cover, standard NP will be used to cover the difference.

Inside the store, you are able to purchase anything under the Bundle, Character, Skin, Emote, NP, ETC, and EP Token Tabs.

How to Level Up Fast

As Eternal Return has a levelling up system much like any other multiplayer or battle royale game, it is highly likely that you want to know what is the best way to level up in this survival arena. In Eternal Return however, there is a focus on specifically what you do in your playthrough rather than how much you achieve such as K/D ratio or mission completions. Players will want to be aware of their Mastery Level which you can follow closely as you level up your skills surrounding the weapon of your chosen character. This is why builds and mains are so strong in this game as you will want to focus on one character to main rather than having a long list of characters that you shift through whilst playing matches back-to-back.

Mastery Level can be observed and regularly upgraded through core mechanics of Eternal Return such as Crafting, Hunting, Moving, Fighting and Searching. By playing the game whilst focussing on hitting all of the important mechanics in the game will naturally increase your Weapon Mastery. If you are looking to get stronger overall in combat, focus on fighting as much as you can to improve the power of your weapon.

Be sure to take on tougher enemies whenever you get the opportunity to do so. You will want to plan your route around the map to verse larger and more powerful enemies so that once defeated you are able to gain the most experience points available to level up your Mastery. Not only this but, be sure to utilize areas such as Restricted Zones. These offer a unique mechanic that can be used in a PvP setting such as holding a position that traps an opponent or evading them to preserve your position in the arena for longer.
