Where to Find Callisto Credits in The Callisto Protocol

Callisto Credits are the main function to buy and upgrade your weapons in The Callisto Protocol. Players can find Callisto Credits by doing various methods in order to obtain these Credits:

  • Loot Monster Bodies – After defeating the horrifying mutated humans of Black Iron Prison, players can loot the bodies. To do this, press Triangle or Y to stomp on the corpse to gain any loot that is dropped by the enemy.
  • On Human Corpses – You can also find Callisto Credits on the body of people who died before Jacob awoke to the locked down Black Iron Prison.
  • Search the Environment – Callisto Credits are one of the main items that can be found scattered around the Prison. Search Prison Cells, Shelves and Drawers for the Credits. You will likely find Credits here regularly enough to upgrade your weapon and switch out to a new primary quite quickly in the game. So, take your time in your progression, do not go through the story too quickly otherwise you will miss many collectible items in the surrounding environment.
  • Find Chests – Chests are rarer to find as they are hidden around The Callisto Protocol chapters. Players should look for doors that require the wrench to unlock and fuses to open any side doors that are not crucial to opening to progress the story. The Chests offer a higher pick-up reward, with loot that can be sold to gain more Credits and a larger Credit bundle in the Chest themselves. They are definitely worth looking out for in your playthrough.

Sell Items to Gain Credits

Players can also sell other items to earn more Callisto Credits. Keep this in mind when searching the environment for Credits. There are other collectible items such as Printers and Energy Converters which can be sold for a larger sum of Credits, greater than that of picking up Credits off bodies. You can sell these parts at the Reforge, where you also get to spend the Credits that you have obtained throughout the Callisto Protocol levels. Items that you can sell at the Reforge Station are:

  • Unusable items – Printer, Energy Converters & Decoders.
  • Ammo
  • Health Injectors
  • GRP Battery Packs

How to Use Credits

When you have obtained a large enough amount of Callisto Credits, you can use these in the Reforge Station. The Reforge offers players new weapons to purchase and upgrades to improve the weapon’s power. The method of purchase is with the Credits that you have gathered throughout your playthrough. You can sell your unusable items, ammo or health to gain larger sums of Credits which you can immediately spend on the Reforge. The lowest amount of Callisto Credits you need to obtain is 300 for Stun Baton Tier 1 Weapon Upgrades.

The Weapons available in the game are:

  • Stun Baton
  • BI-55 Pistol
  • GRP Glove
  • TK4 Riot Shotgun
  • Skunkwork Shotgun
  • UJC Special Ops Pistol
  • UJC Special Ops Assault Rifle

The first time you access the Reforge is in the Security Room with Elias. The Reforge Station is a 3D Printing Device which offers players Ammo, Health and Weapons to craft. Scroll through the Purchase screen using the left analog stick. Use the L1, R1 or LB, RB buttons to change tab onto the Sell screen. Here you can sell the items you do not have use for. Or if you wish to prioritise Health over Ammo or vice versa you can sell one of these items to gain more Credits to buy what you deem is more important to use at the time. Selling these grants you 100 Credits.

Players should look to find the unusable loot in the game and any hidden Chests to gain the most Credits possible in one chapter. We recommend upgrading the Stun Baton at the first Reforge Station and then save up for the Skunk Gun Upgrades to use as your primary weapon soon after picking it up in chapter 3.
