It would help if you placed a Crucifix down on the ground or a surface before a hunt starts. The radius of a Crucifix is about three meters, so you can put more than one down if the room is large. Picking a good location for the Crucifix is essential. Try and figure out where the ghost will begin its hunt.

After a hunt begins, you cannot quickly throw down a Crucifix and hope for protection. They are mostly a preventative measure used to stop ghosts from entering the hunt mode. Another critical thing to note is that a single Crucifix only has two uses.

We recommend scouting the entire location and trying to verify the ghost’s room or area. Place your Crucifix, or Crucifixes, accordingly, and memorize where they are in case it goes into hunting mode. Use them to protect you, so you don’t die and lose your items. If the ghost walks in a three-meter radius of the Crucifix, it should disappear.

That’s how to use a Crucifix in Phasmophobia. I hope this guide helps you out during your ghost hunting investigations. Good luck!
