The Furons of Destroy All Humans are a highly-adaptable race of aliens, able to research and develop new tools of invasion and destruction with the smallest scrap of technology and the most minuscule pinch of DNA. As it so happens, those are exactly what you need to upgrade your tools and abilities in Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed. Here’s how to upgrade abilities and weapons in Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed.
How to Upgrade Abilities and Weapons in Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed
Once Crypto has access to his flying Saucer, he can make use of two services for upgrading his equipment and psychic abilities, respectively: the Pox Mart and the Gene Blender. These two services operate on two separate forms of collectibles, so you’ll need to do a lot of invading to properly trick yourself out.
The Pox Mart is where you can upgrade Crypto’s various ground and Saucer weapons, as well as his shields and movement systems like the Jetpack and S.K.A.T.E. Each piece of equipment has two upgrade paths with three upgrade slots in each. You can buy upgrades in either path, provided you have the requisite Furotech Cells. Furotech Cells are awarded to you whenever you complete a mission, with more given if you also completed optional objectives. You can also find loose Furotech Cells as you explore the overworld; they’re big, green floating orb things.
In order to buy the last upgrade slot on a path, you’ll need Furotech Cores instead of Cells. These special collectibles can only be obtained by clearing major story missions, again in greater numbers if you complete optional objectives. Oh, and if you don’t like any upgrades you’ve bought, you can refund some of your Furotech Cells/Cores in exchange for some DNA harvested from humans.
Speaking of DNA, that brings us to the Gene Blender. In order to upgrade Crypto’s psychic abilities like Telekinesis, Bodysnatching, and Free Love, you’ll need to abduct large quantities of particular humans using the Slurpmaster V8 on the Saucer. In the Gene Blender menu, you can check how many different kinds of humans you need to suck up for each upgrade recipe. Make sure to track a recipe in the menu so any humans you suck up are directed into it. If you don’t track a recipe, abducted humans won’t count toward it.

You can suck up humans in either free roam or during story missions, and in fact, some kinds of humans will need to be sucked up in the latter. Some recipes call for rarer humans like KGB Agents, so you might not be able to get all the upgrades you want right away. Try to focus on recipes with more common humans like Hippies first and foremost.
As long as you complete your missions to the best of your ability and take an occasional Saucer ride to pick up “groceries,” you should have all the resources you need to make Crypto the best invader he can be.
