How to Unlock Your First Weapon in Scorn

It’s finally here! Ebb Software’s highly anticipated survival horror title, Scorn has finally been released on gaming platforms, ready just in time for the Halloween season to deliver some truly terrifying sights. A title that certainly seems reminiscent of films like Alien and Event Horizon, there’s a sci-fi terror lurking around every corner.

But just how are you going to be able to fend off your horrific enemies? Well, Scorn doesn’t leave players empty-handed as there are going to be interesting weapons to find along the game’s story. The question is though, how do you unlock your first weapon in Scorn? Luckily for you, we’ve got the answer!

How to Unlock Your First Weapon in Scorn

It’s actually going to take you some time before you actually need a weapon to fight anything off in Scorn, as the game starts at a slower pace. In fact, it’ll take you about 30 minutes or so before you’ll need one, depending on how quickly you get through its beginning puzzles.

The first 20 or so minutes of the game will have you figuring out different situational obstacles that you’ll have to solve as you try to get a sack with some kind of alien in it to a machine to release it from the pod it is in. Once that’s done, the alien will begin to follow you.

You’ll need to lead it back to the main corridor and have it help you open the large door leading to an elevator that you’ll be taking upwards. From there, you’ll be led to yet another large, open area. It’s in here where you’ll actually be able to get your hands on your very first weapon in Scorn.

Once you’re in that large area following the elevator ride, head directly towards the other side of the room from you. The room doesn’t have a center, so you will want to follow the pathway on the left side of it to get there.

Once there, you’ll see a large cylindrical object that has some light shining on it. Walk up to it and it will begin to spin out of the ground, revealing your first weapon. Your character will pull it from the armory and you’ll have the chance to get to use it.

It’s sort of a short-range rifle that doesn’t fire bullets but instead has a drill-like ability. The barrel of it extends outward and hits its enemies with blunt force. It isn’t a weapon that’s going to keep too many enemies away at once though as it is basically a single hit per fire.
