If there are two directions no one ever expects to be attacked from, it’s above them and below them. It’s a very particular kind of satisfying to conjure a toothy-mawed beast under some jerk’s feet to devour him on the spot, which is why the Burrow Beast is one of the most amusing weapons in Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed. If you’d like to sample the sensation yourself, then here’s how to unlock the Burrow Beast in Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed.
How to Unlock Burrow Beast in Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed
The Burrow Beast is the only weapon in Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed that Crypto doesn’t naturally obtain over the course of the game’s story. Instead, you obtain it at the end of one of the major sidequest lines, the Cult of Arkvoodle. You’ll find the first of these quests, titled “Who is Arkvoodle?,” in Bay City. After that, you’ll find more quests in the line as you progress to the game’s other major cities, denoted by flower symbols on your map.

In addition to completing all of the Arkvoodle sidequests, you’ll also need to locate at least 30 of the Alien Artifact collectibles scattered around the world. There are 50 in total, 10 in each invasion site but you only need 30 to complete the last Arkvoodle sidequest, “The Coming of Arkvoodle.” The Cult’s spokesman, Shama Llama, won’t let you start this quest until you have at least 30 Alien Artifacts, so make sure you’re out looking for them as you progress through the game.
Once you’ve got the requisite Artifacts, you can start The Coming of Arkvoodle. It’s a pretty straightforward quest; you have to broadcast an announcement tape in your saucer around the city without firing your weapons, then cure the Blisk-mutated cultists at the Arkvoodle rally using your Anal Probe.
After this, the cultists will perform the ceremony to summon Arkvoodle, who in turn will reveal the Burrow Beast data core for Crypto to collect. To use it, just aim at any unsuspecting jerk, launch the lure into the ground, and wait for your new beastly buddy to burst up under them. The only catch is that the Burrow Beast only works on human or humanoid targets, and can’t be used to destroy vehicles or buildings. It is great for dispatching Blisk Warriors, though!
