It takes a very particular kind of person to delve into a magical dungeon in search of riches and glory. Specifically, it takes an absolute nut with only the bare minimum of self-preservation. But hey, as long those nuts have the skill to swing a sword and the knowledge to use magic, it’s just as well. Here’s how to unlock all characters in Soulstone Survivors.
How to Unlock All Characters in Soulstone Survivors
Soulstone Survivors features six playable characters, each with their own stat bonuses and unique abilities. Finding the character that jives with you will go a long way toward your consistent success in the game, but before you can use these characters, you have to unlock them.

The six playable characters in Soulstone Survivors, in order of difficulty to obtain, are as follows:
- Barbarian
- Pyromancer
- Hound Master
- Spellbreaker
- Arcane Weaver
- Sentinel
Unlocking these characters requires investments of in-game resources, specifically Soulstones. Regular, Minor Soulstones can be obtained by defeating regular enemies, Vile Soulstones are dropped by the second boss of a zone, Wicked Soulstones are dropped by the third boss of a zone, and Hateful Soulstones are dropped by the fourth boss of a zone. Hope you like coffee, because it’s time for some grinding.
Barbarian
The Barbarian is your starting character, unlocked by default. You can unlock additional weapons, upgrades, and gear for them, but just using him is free of charge.
Pyromancer
This spicy meatball can launch waves of fire at their foes, inflicting painful, damage-over-time burns. To unlock them, you’ll need to kill enough enemies to save up 5,000 Minor Soulstones.
Hound Master
This woodland hunter comes complete with their own hunting dog, who is not only a certified good boy, but can attack with a musket and mortar. If you want to take this dog for a walk, you’ll need to pay up 10,000 Minor Soulstones.
Spellbreaker
This swordsman specializes in deflecting and destroying magic attacks, fighting back with a little bit of razzle-dazzle of his own. Unlocking the Spellbreaker takes some more work, as they require 6 Vile Soulstones. That means beating the second boss of a zone at least six times.
Arcane Weaver
What this old-school spell-slinger lacks in attack and defense, they more than make up for in their ability to cast wide-reaching, powerful magic. To get in tune with the mystic ways, you’ll need to save up 6 Wicked Soulstones, which means beating any third zone boss at least six times.
Sentinel
The best way to win a fight is to be far away from it, preferably with a bow and arrow and deadeye aim. That’s exactly what the Sentinel brings to the table, and if you want their bow in your employ, you’ll need to cough up 6 Hateful Soulstones from beating a fourth zone boss at least six times.
It’s a lot of grinding, to be sure, but unlocking the coolest stuff in a game always requires some extra legwork. Think of how good it’ll feel when you finally have all of the characters!
