How to Unlock All Characters in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

The Mario + Rabbids universe is back with its sequel. With 3 new playable characters and 6 reoccurring characters, who will you play? This time round there are 9 total playable Mario and Rabbids characters to mix and match in your new roster. Figure out which comp suits you best in the new and exciting, Sparks of Hope. Available now on the Nintendo Switch.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope sees you start with 6 playable characters in your roster. These are:

  • Mario
  • Rabbid Mario
  • Luigi
  • Rabbid Luigi
  • Princess Peach
  • Rabbid Peach

The new additions on your team will be:

  • Edge – A Rabbid who carries a giant sword. Aggressive playstyle of close-combat attacks.
  • Rabbid Rosalina – Automatic weapon carrier. Deals damage to break cover that enemies hide behind.
  • Bowser – Carrier of a giant cannon. Mid to far range damage dealer and damage absorber against incoming enemy fire.

How to Unlock All Characters in Sparks of Hope

The newest additions to Sparks of Hope – Edge, Rabbid Rosalina and Bowser need to be unlocked by playing the games main storyline. Here’s how you unlock them.

Edge

Edge is the newest original character to be added into the Rabbids universe. Edge can be unlocked on the first planet, Beacon Beaches. You will encounter Edge at the Sunrise Temple after progressing through this world and completing the missions. Once you are tasked with your first saving Sparks mission, ‘In Deep Water’, you will fight alongside Edge to defeat Giant Windclaw, a giant-sized boss transformed by Cursa. Beat the boss and Edge will stay with you for the remainder of the journey, the newest addition to your roster.

Rabbid Rosalina

You will find Rabbid Rosalina on the second planet, Pristine Peaks. Climb the mountain and help Captain Orion find the missing girl by completing puzzles in the Winter Palace. On this mission you will run into Midnite, a Spark Hunter. In this boss fight Rabbid Rosalina joins you. Defeat Midnite and Rabbid Rosalina will permanently join the roster.

Bowser

Go to the third planet, Palette Prime to unlock Bowser. Reach Palette Prime’s first Darkmess Tentacle in the town plaza. Here you will find the first boss of Palette Prime, Bedrock. Just like Edge and Rabbid Rosalina, Bower will help you in this boss fight. Defeat Bedrock and Bowser will join your team as the final addition on your roster.

Additional Characters in Sparks of Hope

Ubisoft has announced the addition of Rayman to join the roster at a later date as DLC. It is unknown whether more will join as part of the base game.
