This could range from wanting to change a simple cosmetic feature, to revamping the game from the ground up. For our purposes, we’re going to be focusing on the former. Throughout social media websites, there has been a slew of videos showing off gameplay of Hogwarts Legacy. This seemingly normal showing of the game is abruptly shifted into the realm of madness when the player pulls out their broomstick. Only to find that what you have pulled out looks nothing like a broom, but a 7 foot tall Ogre, that you are now riding through the sky. We are going to visit a swamp and figure out how to turn your broom into Shrek in Hogwarts Legacy.

A few pre-requisites to get out of the way before diving straight in. First, since this requires the player to modify the game files, this mod only works on PC as of writing. Second, it is recommended that you have Hogwarts Legacy on Steam, as buying it on the Epic Games Store has been known to run into performance issues, or the mods not working altogether.

This is where the creator, NorskPL has posted this mod along with a few other cosmetic and accessibility mods. There’s a handy in depth guide over there for the specific folders and files. But the overall gist of it is that this mod replaces the Aeromancer Broom and requires you to unzip the mod, and place it into your game folder. When you start up the game you’ll be able to soar the skies with Shrek as your companion/mode of transportation.
