Not only does tilting your gun look cool in Killcams, but it also helps for more accurate shots. To tilt your gun sideways in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you first need to customize your loadout. Once done, you no longer need to go behind a cover to aim sideways. Here’s how you can tilt your gun in COD MW2.
How to tilt your gun sideways in COD MW2
You can tilt your gun in MW2 when the Canted Vibro-Dot 7 is equipped. What makes this possible is its Canted Laser. First, unlock the laser attachment by having the TAQ-56 reach level 10. Once unlocked, equip it in Loadout. ormally, your Operator uses the Optic to get a clear view when aiming down sights (ADS-ing). But when you equip the Canted Vibro-Dot 7, your Operator automatically tilts the gun sideways, giving you a better view of your targets.
Which weapons can you use with Canted Vibro-Dot 7 on MW2?
The Canted Vibro-Dot 7 is a universal attachment that can be used with numerous weapons, which are the following:
- 556 Icarus

It is important to note that while using laser attachments in MW2 allows you to tilt your gun, it also emits green laser light. So make sure to use tilting only to take the most accurate shots and not just for plain ADS-ing as enemies can easily detect your location with the laser.
What is leaning in MW2?
Not to be confused with tilting, leaning is something anyone can easily do in COD MW2. When ADS-ing, your Operator leans into the direction you are moving. On the other hand, tilting uses Canted Laser aiming to be able to tilt your gun sideways whenever you Aim Down Sights.
With these in mind, you no longer can select an Optic attachment for your weapon when you have a Canted Laser attached. So if you are more used to using Optics, it may be better for you to stick to using walls or taking cover and leaning to tilt your gun.
