Despite launching way back at the beginning of 2020, Retro Bowl is still one of the top mobile sports games available right now. It features incredibly strategic gameplay and classic retro graphics oozing with nostalgia. So, it’s easy to see why so many people have gravitated toward this free-to-play retro-style mobile football game.
While Retro Bowl follows a rather simple premise, there are still a few things that players are struggling with. Including learning how to throw a bullet pass.
So, here is everything you need to know about how to throw a bullet pass in Retro Bowl.
How to Throw a Bullet Pass in Retro Bowl
Part of the reason why Retro Bowl has gained more traction than other mobile football games is because it’s incredibly detailed. You might assume based on the old-school display that the game would carry rather simple controls, with limited options. However, don’t let the retro appearance fool you because the game’s surprisingly in-depth.
Not only can you throw a bullet pass, which focuses on speed and is used to sling the ball directly to a receiver in tight coverage. But there are also other types of passes as well, such as a normal touch pass and a lob pass.
However, if you want to perform a bullet pass in Retro Bowl, you need to;
- Drop back like you normally would to throw a pass by pulling your finger back on the screen.
- Once you’ve dropped back, tap the screen with your other finger to convert your throw into a bullet pass.
Bullet passes should only be used when you need to fit the ball into a tight window. This is because it puts more of a focus on speed compared to a touch or lob pass. The receiver you are throwing to should (ideally) have a higher catch rating to grab the ball as well. Or else the sheer speed the football is moving at will make it difficult for your receiver to catch the ball.
Retro Bowl – Frequently Asked Questions
What does throw accuracy do in Retro Bowl?
Throw accuracy is a stat handed out to a quarterback to determine how consistent they are at throwing the football to their intended target. When you’re evaluating a quarterback in Retro Bowl, they should ideally have maximum potential in “Throw Accuracy” and “Arm Strength”.
How do you throw a lob pass in Retro Bowl?
Follow the same steps you would to throw a bullet pass, however, instead choose the “Lob Pass” option after you’ve tapped on the screen with your other finger.
How do you QB Sneak in Retro Bowl?
First, you will want to drop back like you would normally to pass the ball. However, instead of dragging your finger back to initiate the passing motion, drag your finger closer to the quarterback. Then, once the dotted line disappears, release your finger from the screen, and your QB should start running with the ball.
