Hypixel SkyBlock grants you your own skyblock island to do whatever what to do. However, when night falls, all of the typical monsters and mobs will spawn, and you will have to fend them off. This may become irritating, or a nuisance, but thankfully there is a way players can stop the mobs from spawning on their private island. Here is how to stop mobs from spawning on your island in Hypixel SkyBlock.
How to prevent mob spawns in Hypixel SkyBlock
There is only one way to truly stop mob spawns (aside from the spawns from your minions) on your private island, and that is through the Repelling Candle. The Repelling Candle is an extremely useful item, but you will have to go on quite the grind to get it.
Deforestation is cool
To unlock the recipe for the Repelling Candle, you’ll need Acacia Wood IX, which is unlocked from collecting 25,000 Acacia Wood blocks. During your collections, try to keep hold of 1,280 of it for later. As soon as you have maxed out the Acacia Wood level, you’ll be gifted with the recipe.
The recipe for the Repelling Candle requires six Enchanted Acacia Wood blocks and an Enchanted Coal. With the 1,280 Acacia Wood blocks, you should have no trouble quickly crafting the enchanted ones.
Throw them into a crafting table and you’ll have your Repelling Candle.
Placing the candle
With the Repelling Candle, you can place it anywhere on your private island (just do not place it on the lower half of a slab). You can interact with the candle to open up its menu, where you can do three things.

The candle’s colour can be changed, from a nice selection of 14, to fit the style or theme of your island.
Additionally, you can choose the radius of effect for the Repelling Candle, from either 10 blocks, 50 blocks, or infinite blocks. This allows you to have more control over the mobs on your island, for players who may want to isolate a small island for the mobs to spawn exclusively.
You can also toggle on or off the particle effect.
