You have to give credit where credit is due. Ebb Software’s latest release, the survival horror title Scorn is shaping up to be quite a Halloween treat. Giving players a nightmarish world to wander as dangerous monsters take hunt of your flesh. It’s quite a terrifying experience.
One thing that manages to balance out some of the scares though is the game’s complex puzzles that keep the story rolling. And if you’re like me, then Level 2 is a doozy for you too. Luckily for you though, we have the solution to the key puzzle on level 2 in Scorn.
How to Solve the Key Puzzle in Level 2 of Scorn
The beginning of level 2 in Scorn is an odd one, to say the least. But once you make your way into the building where things really kick off, that’s when the puzzling begins. Upon making your way up the first staircase, you’ll find a room that holds these venus flytrap-looking sacks with a terminal in front of it. You’ll need to find the key and add all of the nodes to it in order to make it work.
These nodes are pieces of the key that have to be earned through various mini-puzzles until you’ve managed to unlock all four of them. Each puzzle gets harder as they go, but once you’ve got the fourth and final node, you’ll be able to make your way back to the room with the sacks in it.

In order to begin the key puzzle, you’ll need to place your key in the terminal that’s located in front of the giant sacks. Once you’ve done so, the key will move and make its way to a machine on your left. You’ll need to interact with it, and then the puzzle sequence will begin.
To solve this puzzle, you need to get each of the four white nodes to match up to the corresponding four red nodes. The trick here is that you have to make sure each node is going to be able to move in sequence in order to move into position. The puzzle twists as you move it so it’s best to take your time with it and restart if you need to.
Here’s the order:
- The first node matches the red node furthest to the left.
- The second node is the highest.
- The Third node is the lowest.
- The fourth node is towards the right.
Once done, just interact with the terminal at the base of the sacks to move on.
