How to Solve the Alien Pod Puzzle in Scorn

The newly released survival horror title, Scorn, is here! Offering players an eerie alien atmosphere, they’re are able to walk its horrific corridors as they solve puzzles and fend off terrifying enemies. There are many intricate puzzles that players will have to solve, even from the beginning. Today, we’ll explain how to beat the very first one, the alien pod puzzle, so that you can continue on to the rest of what this game offers.

How to Solve the Alien Pod Puzzle in Scorn

The first thing you’re going to want to do once you see the big walls of alien pods is to head to the terminal on the right that faces them all and interact with it. You’ll next have to use that big machine arm to move pods around. The arm only moves in straight lines, so if you want to move a pod or a selection of pods, you’ll need to make sure there’s enough clear space to do so.

The goal of this puzzle is to bring a pod to that lit-up zone and for another machine to pull an alien from it. The pod that you’re going to get is attached to another. It’s the only set of pods set in a vertical fashion, one on top of the other. You’ll have to clear paths by moving singular pods, dual horizontal pods, and even foursome pods around in order to get to the light.

Additionally, there’s an extra pod that you’ll need to destroy in order to have enough room for you to bring the set of pods you need to the lit-up area. It’s a singular pod where you can see into it a bit. This one is meant to trick you into thinking it’s the one you’re looking for. It is not. Once placed in the lit-up area, head to the middle terminal facing the large machine. Push your action button and it’ll pull the alien from the pod and discard it.

You’ll finally have the space to then move your vertical pods to that location. Head back to the terminal on the right and move them into position. Once done, go back to the middle terminal and allow the machine to extract the alien from the correct pod. You’ll then be able to retrieve your alien passenger.
