How to Sign Up for the Skate 4 Playtest – the Best Skateboarding Game Ever?

Want to potentially play Skate 4 early? Here's how.

After what feels like an eternity, EA will be publishing Skate 4. The game has been asked for by fans for a decade and now they’re finally getting it. This July is set to be a big month for the game as it will supposedly be shown off at some EA event. The game hasn’t appeared at an EA event since its announcement in 2020. A Skate 4 playtest is occurring in July and we here at Gamer Journalist are going to show you how to sign up for it.

How to Sign Up for the Skate 4 Playtest

To sign up for the Skate 4 Playtest, you must become a skate.insider. To do this, go to this website and sign up. There is currently a long wait time as thousands of users are trying to sign up at the same time. It may take up to an hour. The playtest is rumored to take place between July 5 10 AM PT and July 8 5:00 PM PT according to reputable leaker Tom Henderson. Unfortunately, the Skate 4 Playtest is only available to PC users via Ea’s Origin launcher. In the future, the developers plan to allow users from other platforms.

Also last summer, a trailer was released showing Skate content creators’ reactions to early footage of the game. The journey to Skate 4 has been an interesting one. After Skate 3, EA closed series creator Black Box and retired the series. It saw a resurgence in popularity after content creators like PewDiePie made videos about Skate 3 causing stores to order more copies of the game years after its release.

At one point, people would constantly spam the comment section of EA’s Instagram account with “Skate 4.” Hopefully, the fact that a playtest is happening soon means that a release date will soon follow. With Activision not releasing Tony Hawk games anytime soon, EA could release Skate 4 with zero competition.
