Roblox in VR has been a thing that players have been able to set up for some time. Giving people a way to further enjoy the worlds they’ve created. And while these experiences have been quite enjoyable, developers over at Meta look to up the ante for players and creators even further. They announced an official partnership with Roblox and an open beta coming to certain Meta Quest devices. This provides creators with VR headsets a more natural way of crafting virtual experiences for millions of players. So let’s dive in and figure out how to sign up for the Meta Quest Roblox VR open beta.

How to sign up for the Meta Quest Roblox VR open beta

The VR open beta is coming exclusively to Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro devices. Meaning if you have an older/different Meta headset, you’ll have to wait for the full release. It’s worth noting that this open beta will be available on Meta Quest’s App Lab, and primarily focus on developer support. Meta wants to make sure that developers are able to test the new systems before it’s launched on their Store page for players to download.

According to a post on the Roblox developer forum in July of 2023, the Roblox VR open beta isn’t currently out as of writing this article. The post further states that the beta is set to release in the near future. We can surmise that the open beta will aim to release before or around the launch of the Meta Quest 3. If you’re not really into the developer side of Roblox games, you might want to end up waiting for the full Roblox VR release in the future. But if you’re a developer looking to enhance your skills in VR Roblox experiences, keep your eye out for the open beta coming soon.
