Signalis is a retro horror game where the player will have to solve puzzles and uncover the mysteries as they traverse through dangerous settings. Your first encounter with a hostile creature might have been terrifying as it leaped from the floor, a weapon in hand. Good thing you got that gun, right? Here is how to shoot and kill your enemies in Signalis.
How to kill enemies in Signalis
Firing your pistol
You will have acquired your pistol from the observation office in the drawer with the Aperture Card.
First things first, make sure you have manually equipped the pistol. Go into your inventory and bring up the actions menu. ‘Equip’ will be the first option. Having the pistol equipped will allow you to actually shoot it, and you can unequip it any time.
Also make sure it is loaded. The pistol comes with 10 bullets, and you will find more as you go. Make sure to conserve bullets, otherwise you’ll run out when you need them the most. Always keep some extra ammunition on you.
When you stumble across an enemy, freeze. You will want to act quickly, but don’t be rash, as you don’t want them detecting you if you can avoid it. The vast majority of your enemy will encounters will consist of you seeing them before they see you.
Hold right click to aim down sights. A box will appear over an enemy, showing that you are targeting them. The box will slowly zoom in. The closer the box is, the more accurate you will be, and the more damage you will deal.

Make sure the box is tight before hitting ‘F’ or left-click to shoot. Wait before your next shot. The creature keeps moving, shoot again, but do not spam them with bullets. Sometimes, only one or two bullets are needed depending how accurate your shots were.
If there are more than one enemy, your first shot will alert them, and they will make their way towards you. You can fire a little more rapidly, but keep your cool. If they close in on you, simple leave the room into the one you just came from. They will not follow you through, allowing you time to heal any damage through repair patches or sprays. Try to keep one on you.
Kick ’em whilst they’re down
If you have dealt enough damage, the enemy will writhe on the floor. You will only have a limited time to finish them off.
As they are writhing, you can either shoot them again, or go up to them and press ‘F’ to stomp on their head, finishing them. It would be wise to shoot all adversaries down before stomping on each of them to preserve ammo.
If you don’t do this in time, they will get back up, requiring you to loosen even more ammo, so make sure they don’t.
