Signalis is a horror game that will have you running from monsters and creeping around creepy settings. All progress is vital, as you find pieces of puzzles, solutions to answers, and life-saving supplies. This game, however, does not have the safety nets of auto-save, or the autonomy of a self-saving system. You will have to actively go out and find saving points for yourself. Here is how to save your progress in Signalis.
How to save your game in Signalis
Finding the red terminal
As you go about the game, you will be blissfully unaware of the progress saving until you come across your first red terminal.
Eerily, they will light up the room in an atmospheric red. These will be dotted around the game in specific locations, waiting for you to stumble into them.
Interacting with one will send off a high-pitched screech before presenting you with four save files. You can choose whichever save file you want your progress to latch onto. Like in other games, you can overwrite save files with your current progress, deleting the old and replacing it with the new.
Alternatively, you can choose to ‘progress without saving’, which the game will remind you is a bad mistake to make.
Save your progress frequently
Naturally, it is recommended to save your progress frequently. If ever you are passing a red terminal going to and fro, take a few seconds out to save your progress. It may be smart to use one save file as a ‘backup’ save, in case you go too far out on a limb and use all the ammo the game has provided you, leaving you with little options to progress.
