How To Revisit And Go Back Into Towns In Fire Emblem Engage

Could we start again, please?

I’m a huge fan of backtracking. I have been since the days of Nintendo 64 and the Rare collect-a-thon craze. From Banjo Kazooie, Tooie, and Donkey 64 (nightmare fuel for all the new players here). My OCD tingled like crazy every time a jiggie or a banana was out of reach, only for me to get it a couple of hours later due to a new move learned or a new Kong freed. Backtracking is discovering new parts of the game, and Fire Emblem has a very peculiar way to treat this mechanic. Here is how to revisit and go back into towns in Fire Emblem Engage.

How To Revisit And Go Back Into Towns

Whenever you get to a new town, you will be quested with doing some missions. If you are successful, you will have the opportunity to travel to the next one. Maybe the curiosity beat you, and you travelled without looking for all the content in the previous town. You will be surprised to know that, unfortunately, you won’t be able to backtrack to the town you just left. And that happens with all the towns and villages you get to visit in the game.

So, how do you revisit them? It is not as simple as you think. In fact, you will have to play the waiting game. Not for long, though. You see, you will have to wait for a world map encounter that needs to take place in said town or village in order for you to travel there. Most commonly, it will be a skirmish encounter, since they happen quite often. Once you finish the encounter, just stay in said town in order to explore further.

In other words, just wait, and you will get to travel back to the town of your choice, given that you have a mission assigned that will make you travel there. I know that asking anyone to wait for a while is typically an impossibility, but this will pay off, I assure you. Good luck with those encounters!
