In GTA Online, players can create their own Criminal Organisation in which roles are divided between those partaking in the Organisation. There must be a CEO or VIP, which are expensive roles that the player must spend in order to obtain that title. When bought, the VIP can hire Bodyguards (other players) to help complete Missions. These are paid to protect the VIP whilst completing tasks for rewards and cash. However there is a distinction between a VIP and CEO. That is when you become a VIP, you are important to the Organisation for a timeframe of 4 hours. Whilst a CEO can retire whenever they please. Meaning that the CEO has longer standing power within the Organisation.
How to Become a VIP
If you want to become a VIP instead of the CEO of the Organisation, players must first obtain $50,000 to put into the role. This is crucial to becoming a VIP. Whilst this is not taking out immediately upon becoming the VIP, you require this amount until the $50,000 runs dry. When you take the title, in which there can be multiple within a single session, you will have the power to hire Bodyguards to protect you.
To register as a VIP within a Criminal Organisation, follow these steps listed below:
- Open the Interaction Menu whilst you are playing GTA Online, this is separate to the Main Menu. To bring this Menu up, press the touchpad on the PlayStation, push the select button on Xbox and ‘M‘ on PC.
- Scroll down and select the tab ‘SecuroServ‘.
- From here, enable ‘Looking for Work‘ and then hit ‘Register as a VIP‘.
- A pop up window will appear in which you can type in your own Organisation Name. Once done, hit enter key.
Registering is simple and easy, once done you will be a VIP for a 4-hour period. Sometimes becoming a VIP may not be available in the game you are currently in. You may only have the option to register as a CEO instead. As there can only be 10 VIPs inside one server at a time, do not worry if you do not see the option to become a VIP. CEO have more advantages than a VIP so you may wish to register as a CEO instead. However the requirement to do so is to purchase an Office. You cannot become a CEO if you have not done this.
