I Need a Hero!

It’s time for more Xenoblade Chronicles 3! For those who are keeping up with this storied franchise, the second wave of DLC has officially launched, bringing with it a new challenge battle mode, a new hero character, and more! In fact, this new hero character is named Ino, and she can join your party! But, what needs to be done before you can recruit Ino? Read on to find out!

How to Recruit Ino in Xenoblade Chronicles 3?

It looks to be remarkably easy to recruit Ino. In fact, according to the pack’s official page via Nintendo, all players need to do to recruit Ino is complete her Hero Quest. It’s unclear as of writing what Ino’s Hero Quest entails, but based on existing Hero Quests, it will likely showcase Ino’s character. According to Nintendo, she “looks … mechanical,” so that will probably play a large part in said Hero Quest.

What’s Included in Wave 2 DLC?

As mentioned, Ino is but one of the new additions included in Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s second wave of DLC. There will be a new Challenge Battle mode that will pit players against a slew of devastating enemies, as well as new swimsuit outfits for the characters! If any of these additional items catches your fancy, you can get your paws on the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass for $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop.

Will There Be More DLC Waves?

Yes! But … it’ll take a bit more time. In total, there will be four waves of DLC for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. In the third wave, we’ll be getting another Challenge Battle, more character outfits, and another hero! Alas, this pack won’t be available until April 30, 2023. DLC Wave 4 will contain a brand new story scenario, and while there isn’t a solid release date as of writing, Nintendo has said it’ll be out by December 31, 2023.
