How to Pump Fake in Madden 22
In order to pump fake in Madden 22, you need to double-tap the button of the receiver that you want to fake the pass to. This can be accomplished with a more complicated RPO play, but generally, just a simple passing play is all you need to pull off a pump fake in Madden 22.
So, let’s say that your primary deep threat (circle for PlayStation or B for Xbox) is drawing a lot of attention down the field. You can double-tap circle (PS4/PS5) or B (Xbox One/Xbox Series S/X) to fake the defense out into thinking that you are going to throw the ball to that receiver. And then just take off running, or pass to a different receiver moving in the opposite direction.
There’s never really an ideal time to use a pump fake in Madden 22 since it can be used effectively in just about any scenario, but the move is especially handy when the defense is leaning in one direction and towards a specific receiver or if you’ve got some extra time in the pocket.
Although, you should never try to pump fake when pressure is coming from the defenders because you probably won’t be able to get the throw off in time before suffering a sack.
