How to Power Up Skills in One Piece Odyssey

We gotta re-learn 1000 episodes worth of moves here!

One Piece doesn’t usually spare much time for training arcs. Most of Luffy’s techniques come about from on-the-fly experimentation, and when he did need to do extensive training, most of it happened off-screen. When everyone loses their abilities in One Piece Odyssey, though, we need to relearn everything in a hurry to survive. Here’s how to Power Up Skills in One Piece Odyssey.

How to Power Up Skills in One Piece Odyssey

When you first start One Piece Odyssey, all of the members of the Straw Hats will be around level 40, and will have a good number of combat skills in their repertoire. After fighting the Fire Colossus and having their abilities taken away by Lim, though, all of those moves and levels will disappear and you’ll be back to level 1 with nothing. To get back to everyone’s full strength, you’ll need to recover the Cube Fragments that Lim created with her ability.

After you find the first scripted Cube Fragment in the Lake Shore Cave and restore some of your base abilities, you’ll gain access to the Power Up Skills menu in your pause menu. Using this menu, you can allocate Cube Fragments to your unlocked combat skills to enhance their individual levels and strength.

Using Cube Fragments

Every member of the Straw Hats has their own personal Cube Fragments, which are scattered all over Waford and Memoria. You can find them by inspecting item-gathering spots on the ground, smashing breakable objects, and defeating enemies. When you pick up a Cube Fragment, it’ll say who it belongs to, and be added to that character’s tally on the Power Up Skills menu.

On the Power Up Skills menu, your available moves will have several open slots for Cube Fragments. If you add in enough Cube Fragments to fill all of a move’s slots, it’ll level up, growing in strength. In the event you find the skill you leveled up less than helpful, that’s okay! You can freely remove and reallocate Cube Fragments to any of your other skills on the Power Up Skills menu at no cost. Just remember that all of a skill’s slots need to be full to level it up.

Search high and low for every character’s Cube Fragments, then allocate them on the Power Up Skills menu to provide a healthy spread of stat boosts to your most useful techniques.
