How to invite your friends in From Space

Unlike other games, From Space does not have a lobby or waiting room. Every game you start, you start yourself. But if there is no way to bring your friends together before you play, how does everyone get together? Interestingly, the game has a very immersive solution.

Keeping on-brand with the theme of being specialists called in to stave off the alien threat, everything you do, even saving the game, happens in the game itself. This immersive feature really works for the game, and makes up for the potentially tedious nature of such a feature.

Find yourself a phone booth

Throughout the map will be phone booths for you to interact with (press ‘E’). Upon doing so, your friend list from whichever service you launched the game from will appear, revealing all of your currently online friends.

All you need to do then is simply invite them from that screen. They will then have the opportunity to join your game after you’re already in it. The phone booths will be near a locker, so they can select which specialist they want to play as before you all ready yourselves and move on.

Alternatively, you can bring up the pause menu (press ‘esc’) to reveal a button that says ‘invite friends’. The same online friend menu will appear.
