Give your wife and child a kiss on the head before your shift starts to give yourself some luck. Whether it is your first shift or first week on the job, the upcoming event of your child’s birthday is one that has added pressure to getting through the night to celebrate your daughter when morning arrives. But with the knowledge that the previous security guard has mysteriously vanished from the job, the shoes you are left to fill are drenched in blood. Just what is going on in this office building? This is Vincent’s guide on everything you need to know about Chilla’s Art indie horror game, Night Security. We hope you enjoy this read.
What is Night Security?
Night Security follows our nameless protagonist as he sets out to his night shift at the office building to provide security at. As the doors close behind him your job is to check the doors, alarm systems for tampering, lights and to guide anyone outside of the building. But as you ascend the floors of the office building, things get rather strange. Although there is no Elevator Game to partake in, the paranormal events begin to escalate. Appearing haunted, you quickly learn that the previous security guard mysteriously vanished. Did the building have something to do with it? Who is that ominous woman in black? What are those ventriloquist dolls? Do the employees of the building have something to do with the previous security guard’s vanishing?
Piece together the mystery by ascending further and further into the madness. Just what will you uncover whilst working the night shift? The main gameplay mechanics to Night Security is checking each floor, room by room and turning off lights, talking to all of the NPCs relevant to the floor you are exploring and checking for any system tampering. You can also take a look at the camera feed for each floor but beware, something is often seen looking back at you. Windows and monitors act as a literal door into another world, be sure to not stare for too long.

Where to Play Night Security
Night Security, much like the rest of Chilla’s Art games, is a Windows exclusive video game. For those interested in playing this game, you can find it on Steam for $7.99. Included on Steam is a Chilla’s Art Bundle which can be found marked down here. Chilla’s Art games are always marked at a low price, offering players a short horror experience (typically 40 minutes to 1hr 30 minutes game length).
If you are a fan of indie horror or looking for something to play outside of the AAA realm, a great place to start and rest for a while is with Chilla’s Art. Other GJ recommendations are Puppet Combo, Rayll and MyMadnessWorks.
Upcoming Titles from Chilla’s Art
Chilla’s Art is one of the masters in the indie horror universe. Consistently producing banger after banger of horror games with short but intense experiences, complete with a minimal asking price. Chilla’s Art has developed a avid community for their world, being one of the few Developers that appropriately demonstrate life inside Japanese culture through folklore and urban tales. Their horror entries regularly hit big numbers on YouTube with CoryXKenshin, Gab Smolders, ManlyBadassHero, Jacksepticeye and more reacting to each entry that they bring out.
But what is on the horizon for this indie horror master? Two new horror games have been confirmed on Steam titled – Parasocial and Jimmu. Known for hitting players with paranoia and fear, Chilla’s Art games typically follow horror around stalkers, intruders and paranormal entities. Interestingly, their announced game Jimmu is going to have RPG elements with open-world level design and a non-linear narrative. This will be an interesting move away from the very linear narrative that Chilla previously did, where our protagonist normally played out a traumatic event taking place over a week. If you, like me, are a fan of Chilla’s work, you can wishlist their upcoming titles for Parasocial and Jimmu.
