I have no idea what is typically required to meet with a monarch in this or any world. My only frame of reference is famous actors and musicians, and in Sports Story, you ain’t either of those. But there is one thing you are: a mostly-competent golfer. Let’s hope that’s enough. Here’s how to meet with the Queen in Sports Story.
How to Meet with the Queen in Sports Story
After infiltrating the secret island, rescuing Moon’s father, and uncovering the truth of PureStrike’s treachery, you need to pay a visit to the Queen of the island to inform her of the threat. You can take the train to the north to the Royal Gardens, with the Queen’s castle located right in the middle. If you enter the castle throne room, the Queen’s number one will dismiss your concerns and kick you out, but according to the lady at the desk, the Queen is obligated to meet with anyone who proves themselves at the local golf course.

It’s not as simple as playing golf, however. Before you can play on the Royal Gardens course, you need to prove yourself on the Royal Gardens mini-golf course. And before you can do that, you need to get an entry ticket. What is it with royalty and their esoteric nonsense…?
Getting to the Courses
Let’s start by getting that ticket. From the castle desk, head east until you come upon the Royal Roast cafe. There are a bunch of snooty folks here who know a thing or two about the castle’s rules. If you talk to the guy in the yellow hat on the left side of the room, he’ll cough up a mini-golf ticket at no charge.
Leave the castle and head eastward to reach the Royal Gardens mini-golf course. Present the ticket to the white-suited guy out front to play a round. There’s no particular baseline of success here; just finish the whole course, and try to get pars if you can. No pressure.
Once you complete the mini-golf course, you’ll have the right to play on the actual course. Return to the castle desk (which apparently doubles as the Pro Shop), and you can buy a nine-hole pass to play. This part’s a little harder, as in order to prove yourself, you’ll need to get at least three birdies before you finish the course (that’s one under par, if you forgot). The putting greens on this course have heavily slanted terrain, so you’ll want to make extensive use of Honey Balls and Vector Balls if you have them to stay on course. It’s a bit windy out, too, so don’t hesitate to use your Steel Balls, too.
If you can clear the course with at least three birdies, you can return to the throne room and request a meeting with the Queen. You’ll get dumped into a dungeon, but don’t worry, it’s just because the Queen is going to send you on a secret mission. Subterfuge and all that.
