F1 23 is here and its return brings back the go-to Game Modes of Career Mode and My Team. But something new appears along the horizon, as an attempt to dip into the Ultimate Team world of FIFA with the brand new F1 World. These Game Mode focus on the development of your vehicle rather than the actual driving of the car. Whilst general gameplay wants you to make appropriate adjustments better suited to the style of track and your playstyle, you will be starting from the ground up in My Team and F1 World. For this reason, the primary goal is to get Cash, build those Resources and spend those hard-earned Points to upgrade your whip. This is Vincent’s guide on how to get a maxed out car in F1 23.
How to Upgrade Your Car in F1 World
F1 23 has changed the aim of the game, likely forever, with the release of their F1 World. Acting as a solo Career Mode based all around your car, this Ultimate Team-style Game Mode reinvents the meaning of being a good driver. With an emphasis put on the car you are driving rather than the deliver itself, the aim becomes gaining enough points to gain upgrades that can be directly put to good use to improve your car’s stats. Whilst starting with the most basic of cars, you will eventually be able to craft a pure weapon on the track, by completing Circuits, Time Trials and Challenges. These all offer the player various rewards from Resources or Cash that can directly be used to upgrade your car.
In F1 World however, you can only run a total of 4 upgrades at a time to maximise your car’s ability and power on the track. Because of this, the shift is made towards gaining Legendary Gear to demonstrate that you are the best of the best, whilst simultaneously making the correct adjustments to suit your playstyle and to be the most lethal in every scenario. Collecting Data, Cash or reaping the Rewards of getting consistent high scores and completing set Challenges depending on the Circuit of your choosing will all offer Upgrade Points that can be used to create brand new upgrades for your car. Whilst the road is long, the result is a maxed out car with Legendary Parts to torch all other drivers you face.

Before you can begin upgrading however, you will first need to complete a set of 5 Circuits/ Races. Once done, you will need to complete a Circuit with a Rare or higher Part equipped. This will unlock the Engineering aspect of F1 World where the upgrading truly begins.
How to Upgrade in F1 23 My Team Mode
My Team returns to F1 23 where your car’s stats can be explored via the Facilities Tab in the Main Menu of this Game Mode. These Specs are essential to upgrading your car. From Chassis that can be invested into the increasing of upgrades, the speed of upgrades produced, the decrease of upgrades failing and so on. These require money to invest in and therefore, a lot of time spent on the tracks, completing Circuits and Challenges as the duration of your journey passes. When it comes to actual upgrades however, you need to visit the R&D Section. From here, you can assess the four departments of your car’s performance – Aerodynamics, Chassis, Powertrain and Durability.
Under each department you will be able to select what you want to research and upgrade, dependant on specific car parts that will greatly improve your speed, ability, power and strength on the track. Upgrades such as Weight Reduction and Aerodynamics should be improved first and as time goes on with more Resource Points gained through completing Trials and Circuits, you will slowly build up your car until it reaches its maximum potential across the four departments. This is how to get a maxed out car in F1 23’s My Team.
