Most of the kaiju fought in the Ultra series aren’t overtly malevolent creatures. They’re just wild animals that have been whipped into a frenzy by external factors like being woken up or attacked. Even in the monster-loving world of Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher, these big beasties can get quite testy, which can lead to… unpleasant occurrences. Here’s how to manage Anger in Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher.
How to Manage Anger in Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher
As you work with your kaiju in Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher, its stress will naturally begin to accumulate and rise. This stress is indicated by the Anger meter on their status screen, denoted with a bomb symbol. As a kaiju’s anger grows, it’ll begin to get testy, and if the meter fills up completely, they’ll lose their temper and go on a Rampage. When on a Rampage, they can damage vital ranch facilities, barring you from using them for a while. If they’re really out of control, Ultraman may appear to knock some sense into them, leaving them injured.

Rising Anger is a natural part of the kaiju-rearing process, so it can’t be avoided altogether. However, you can carefully control how much stress your kaiju is exposed to, then work to alleviate that stress before its Anger meter gets too high and it flies off the handle.
Monster Therapy
The following actions and activities will all cause a kaiju’s Anger meter to increase:
- Training Drills
- Errantries
- Scolding
- Feeding it something it doesn’t like
Meanwhile, the following actions and activities will alleviate stress and lower a kaiju’s Anger meter:
- Fighting in Tournaments
- Resting
- Praising
- Feeding it something it likes
Basically, you want to train your kaiju as much as you can without ticking it off, then give it the time it needs to recuperate, followed by blowing off some steam at a Tournament. If the Anger meter is in dire straits, give it a snack and a few days off. Just make sure you feed it the stuff it likes, as indicated by its preferences on its Status screen.
Training a kaiju isn’t dissimilar to training a regular animal. It’s all about the carrot and stick; push ’em hard to make ’em strong, then give ’em a nice little break.
