Gold Making Methods in WoW Classic Season of Mastery

Here are some of the best items you can stock up on early to turn a profit in WoW Classic Season of Mastery:

  • Swiftthistle
  • Fused Wiring
  • Small Flame Sac
  • Golden Pearl

Swiftthistle

If a rogue hears the word Swiftthistle, they will come running, and that’s a fact. Swiftthistle is an ingredient used to make Thistle Tea, a Rogue-specific potion used to generate 100 energy on the fly. Rogues will use this in all content in PvE and PvP. Any competitive raid rogue will love to buy these in bulk.

Early on, Swiftthistle is cheap because everyone is leveling their herbalism. However, at level 60, there are not as many low-level herbalist farmers, and rogues also use more Thistle Tea. Not to mention, people at level 60 will also have more gold and be willing to pay a premium. In other words, “number go up.” Swiftthistle is also used in Swiftness potions, which can have its uses.

Fused Wiring

Fused Wiring is essential in crafting engineering items like the Field Repair Bot and the Gnomish Cloaking Device. Both can be useful in PvE, though the latter could be more of a PvP item. That said, most raiding guilds will go through Field Repair Bots like candy, and therefore need to stock up on lots of Fused Wiring.

Fused Wiring drops in Gnomeregan from the Peacekeeper Security Suits, Mechanized Guardians and Frostwalkers, and Arcane Nullifiers. You can also get it more easily in Stranglethorn Vale from the Venture Co. Shredders near the northern Lake Nazferiti area.

Small Flame Sac

An important item you’ll want to stock up on to flip for some hefty profits later is the Small Flame Sac. This item is used to craft Fire Protection Potions, which many guilds will require their members to use in Molten Core, Onyxia, and Blackwing Lair. At that point, the price for the Small Flame Sac will skyrocket, and you’ll be ready to flood the market and rake in some profit.

The Small Flame Sac drops from various dragon-type creatures, such as the Sprite Dragons in Feralas, the Eldreth Darters in Dire Maul, the Whelps in the Swamp of Sorrows and Wetlands, and the Blink Dragons in Ashenvale.

Golden Pearl

The last item we recommend is the elusive Golden Pearl. It comes from clams between levels 40 through 60 and is a prime ingredient in the Spell Power weapon enchant, a highly sought-after enchantment for caster DPS. There’s a good chance you can scoop these up on the cheap while people are still on their way to 60.

Big-mouth clams start dropping at level 40 and can be found from the Naga in Azshara, the Muckshell sea monsters in Dustwallow Marsh, and the Murlocs in Swamp of Sorrows. You can also get them from the Serpents in Feralas. Plenty of places to farm for Golden Pearls, so take your pick.

There you have it, some easy items you can farm to make gold in WoW Classic Season of Mastery in Phase 1. We’ll keep you posted with some more ideas in the coming phases.
