What is a Volan and how to Locate

The Volan is a tall spirally white tower that uses wireless connectivity to control the cameras and security in Atomic Heart. You’ll first interact with a Volan after meeting Granny Zina. Once you’ve sat down with her and watched the cutscene with her, she will give you Volan codes. You will use these codes to override and gain access to the tall white towers.

The first and nearest Volan tower is just straight ahead after you leave Granny Zina’s house. It’s one of the tallest structures around so it shouldn’t be too hard to find after a bit of looking around. Once you find the tower go to it and take the elevator up. The Volan tower is similar to a lighthouse. Once inside you are just in a big glass room looking over the area. Then you click to access and override the white device on a stand with a red cap on top.

Once you’ve interacted with this object, you can expand your map, open the gates to the next area and look through all the cameras that the Volan controls in that area. The Volan gives you access to this area through cameras and other controls. Be sure to explore everything it gives you access to for more map possibilities.
