As the game is still in early development, there could be new methods of leveling up implemented in the future. Though as for now, current methods are fairly limited, but still effective nonetheless. Of course the tried and true method of leveling up characters is through gameplay. Just play and replay levels with the characters you want to grind and experience should come. Although the higher the level, the less results you’ll see with this method.
The most common and reliable method for leveling up is with experience scrolls. These consumables can be found in game and used to more quickly level up characters. There is no limit as to how many scrolls can be used. Although the general rule is, the greater the XP wanted, the more scrolls needed. Once a character has hit max level, they can be ascended to further raise XP.
If Ascendancy is not an option, equipping characters with different equipment can raise their stats in various ways.
