I don’t know who first invented the idea of ragdoll physics, but whoever they are, they deserve some kind of award. There are few things that make a game more objectively entertaining than its characters suddenly flopping onto the ground like a piece of boneless chicken. If the idea of flinging boneless chicken off a cliff sounds like fun (and it should), then here’s how to learn Ragdoll in the Lil Gator Game.
How to Learn Ragdoll in the Lil Gator Game
Ragdoll is one of the special abilities your little gator hero can learn in Lil Gator Game. With a push of a button, they’ll go completely limp, though you can still nudge them along the ground and steer their trajectory in the air with your left stick. This ability is mostly for entertainment value, such as hurling yourself from a high place and going limp to see where you land.

You can unlock the Ragdoll ability fairly early in the game while you’re performing tutorial quests on the small island. As you climb up the mountainous part of the small island, you’ll meet the extremely suspicious bracelet salesman, who sells you a bracelet that lets you climb walls. After you get your bracelet, talk to Simon the mountain climber on the ledge right above where he was. Simon will challenge you to find him again on the cliffs after you’ve got some practice climbing stuff.
Finding Simon
After you find Avery in the mountains and get your hat and glider, follow the nearby path of plant monsters around the bend, where you’ll find Simon once again on a cliff. He’ll praise you for your climbing ability, but note that you don’t know the best way to get down from a mountain. He’ll then promptly hurl himself off. Don’t worry, he’s fine; as he reminds us, kids are invincible in video games!
After seeing Simon’s brief demonstration, you’ll unlock the Ragdoll ability. You can equip it to either of your bumper buttons on the Special tab of your menu, where it appears as a teddy bear on your waist. Just tap the mapped button and you’ll go limp, then tap it again to stand back up. There’s no fall damage in this fantasy adventure, so feel free to launch yourself from the highest points you can reach.
