While the game revolves heavily around harvesting raw materials, hunting, fishing, and farming to survive. Farthest Frontier also features a handful of pesky raiders looking to invade your village at any moment, and one of the biggest threats in the game is a bear.
In this guide, we will break down everything you need to know about how to kill a bear in Farthest Frontier.
How to Kill a Bear in Farthest Frontier
Bears are one of the deadliest intruders in Farthest Frontier because they can cause a ton of damage and even kill your villagers. The worst part is that they’re especially difficult to manage early on before you’ve had the chance to build up any infrastructure within your city walls.
If you encounter a bear early on, you will need to attack it with a large group of villagers (20 or more). Keep in mind that bears are a lot more difficult to kill compared to other animals (like Wolves). So, the best way to handle the situation is by overwhelming it with as many villagers and combat units as possible.

Obviously, some of your villagers will perish in battle, but the goal is to overwhelm the bear with so much melee damage before it has the chance to kill too many people. Which is far better than just letting the bear run wild and allowing it to wreak havoc on the rest of your village.
To avoid as much death as possible, you can bait the bear towards larger numbers using your hunter’s ranged weapons. This way you deal some damage before the rest of your combat units take over with their melee weapons. Also, make sure to raise the alarm at the Town Center as soon as the bear attacks. This way the villagers and combat units can react before the city suffers too much damage.
Over time, killing bears will become far easier. As you’ll be able to build up your city’s infrastructure to handle these sorts of attacks. Walls will prevent them from breaking in and lookout towers can drive them off before they get the chance to attack. However, overwhelming them with a large group is the best way to kill a bear during the early stages of Farthest Frontier.
