How to Install Minecraft Jenny Mod

Still not the strangest thing I've seen in Minecraft.

Unless you’re playing it with friends, Minecraft is a generally solitary experience. Some people like it that way, but others perhaps prefer a bit of NPC companionship. More than a dog or something I mean. For this purpose (and others), you could try the Jenny mod. Here’s how to install the Minecraft Jenny mod.

How to Install Minecraft Jenny Mod

The Jenny mod adds a special NPC to your Minecraft world named, well, Jenny. Jenny is kind of like an NPC girlfriend; you can spend time with her, get to know her, and all that other nice stuff. You can also pay her in emeralds, gold, and diamonds for… intimate services, let’s call them. In case it wasn’t abundantly clear, this mod is very much NSFW. Maybe also don’t tell your friends if you’re using it.

Anyway, if you feel inclined to have such a feature in your Minecraft world, you’ll first need to install a few other mods and utilities. Do note that this particular flavor of modding only works on the PC version of Minecraft:

  • Minecraft Forge: This is an API designed to easily load and manage Minecraft mods. Some mods, like the Jenny mod, are built with the Forge framework in mind, so it’s a necessity.
  • Baubles Mod: This mod expands your character’s inventory and their ability to use and equip things from it.
  • GeckoLib Mod: This mod allows the game to export and play specific and unique character animations, and is necessary for some of the unique animations Jenny performs.

Once you’ve got all the prerequisites loaded up, download the Jenny mod from a modding site and follow these instructions:

  • Open the Windows Run program. You can find it by typing “Run” into the search bar next to your OS start menu.
  • In the Run program, type “%appdata%” and click OK. This’ll give you access to the Roaming folder, which is where local Minecraft data is stored.
  • Open the .minecraft folder and look for a folder named “mods.” A mod folder should’ve been made when you installed Forge, but if it’s not there, just make the folder yourself.
  • Place the Jenny mod folder into the mods folder. Just drag and drop it in there.
  • Open the Minecraft launcher and press the button to switch to Forge mode. This’ll relaunch the game with Forge enabled, allowing you to access your installed mods.
  • On the Minecraft Forge main menu, click Mods, then “Open Mods Folder” to see the mod folders you have loaded. Click on the Jenny folder to add it to the game.
  • When the mod is finished loading, return to the main menu and launch your Minecraft world. Make sure you launch it in Creative mode, as Jenny can’t appear in Survival.

Once you launch the game, a house with a pointed roof should appear in the same biome that you spawn into. You’ll find Jenny in this house, where you can… get to know her.
