How to Heal and Revive your Party in Tales of Arise

How to Heal and Revive your Party in Tales of Arise

I recall a conversation from Tales of Vesperia where it was explained that the Gel items in every Tales game were made with children in mind. They’re like gummy vitamins; spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down and all that. There aren’t any children in Tales of Arise’s party, but if they’re all injured, I don’t think any of them would be picky about their means of recovery. In this guide, we’ll show you how to heal and revive your party in Tales of Arise.

How to heal your party in Tales of Arise

Here’s how to heal your party in Tales of Arise:

  • Use Apple Gels.
  • Rest at campfires in the overworld.
  • Use Healing Artes to restore health to whoever needs it.

First, let’s cover general healing. As with any Tales game, your quickest means of restoring your party members’ health is to use items like Apple Gels. Gels can be bought from pretty much any store, and are occasionally found out in the wild as well. Items can be used from either the pause menu or the combat menu, though in the case of combat, a party member will need to be alive to administer the item. Besides items, you can also rest at campfires in the overworld to fully restore the entire party’s health. Campfires are free to use, so whenever you spot one, it wouldn’t hurt to hunker down for the night.

New to Tales of Arise is the Cure Point system. Since Tales of Arise doesn’t use an MP system, Healing Artes draw from a party-wide pool of CP for activation. They work just like they do in other Tales games; use a Healing Arte from either the combat menu or the pause menu and restore health to whoever needs it. Shionne and Dohalim are your go-tos for Healing Artes, so make sure to adjust their behaviors to use them more frequently in battle if you’re playing defensively.

How to revive your party in Tales of Arise

Here’s how to revive your party in Tales of Arise:

  • Rest at a campfire or inn.
  • Use a Life Bottle, Omega Elixer, or Healing Artes.

If a party member is knocked out in a fight, reviving them works much the same way as healing them. You can rest at a campfire or inn to get them back up, or otherwise restore them with a Life Bottle or Omega Elixer, as well as particular Healing Artes. Just remember that revival Healing Artes chew up a lot of CP, so keep a stash of CP-restoring Orange and Pineapple Gels on hand to top off.
