How to Get Yogurt in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Yogurt may not be most people’s go-to ingredient for sandwiches in real life, but in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, it’s a staple ingredient! Yogurt can be used in all kinds of helpful sandwich recipes in this game; any self-respecting sandwich builder wouldn’t be caught dead without their trusty stock of yogurt! If you love being able to build sandwiches for your Pokémon in this game (and reap all the stat rewards), you should definitely invest in this sour ingredient.

Obtaining yogurt in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet isn’t too difficult, but it’s definitely not as easy as obtaining some of the other sandwich ingredients in this game, such as butter or salt. Yogurt is sold at Artisan Bakeries all across Paldea for $140, though you won’t be able to buy any until you’ve earned at least one Gym Badge. If you haven’t beaten a Pokémon Gym yet, you won’t be able to buy any yogurt, even if you do manage to track down an Artisan Bakery.

If you really want some yogurt and are willing to get down on some story progression to get it, you should challenge the Bug-type Gym in Cortondo. Technically, you don’t have to battle the gyms in any particular order in this game, but the Cortondo Gym is arguably the easiest. Cortondo also conveniently has an Artisan Bakery within the city, so once you’ve beaten the gym, you can immediately head on down to the shop to get yourself some yogurt.

Using yogurt, you can make all kinds of sandwiches, like the Dessert Sandwich or even the Great Jam Sandwich. If you love making sandwiches in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you should check out Gamer Journalist’s guide on how to make every Shiny Boost Sandwich in the game!
