When you play Honkai Star Rail you will get to experience many free playable characters some of which will be available as soon as you start playing the game while others will be unlocked later on. In order to get your hands on Trailblazer with the Preservation path and fire type you will need to complete a fair amount of the main storyline. To be exact, you will unlock it after completing the Jarilo-VI storyline.

The good news is that you don’t have to chase any side-quests, only complete that main storyline and you will get it. Once you unlock the brand new Trailblazer the only thing you need to do is go to your Light cones and select the Switch option to use the fire type.
Pros and Cons of the Trailblazer Fire in Honkai Star Rail
Preservation path Trailblazer with fire type has many pros as it’s an excellent support that can offer amazing protection with shields, solid damage, and more than decent breaking capabilities. AoE Taunt skill allows Trailblazer to manipulate aggro and save allies while their versatile build paths allow you to choose your own best strategy for Trailblazer Fire.
Further, all Eidolons for Trailblazer Fire will be unlocked just by playing and they are fully capable of dual scaling as you level up. The only downside is that their shields have lower HP than other shielders, but when you look at the full picture and everything this character has to offer it’s not a bad trade after all.
