How to Get to Mining Deck in Dead Space Remake

The heart of the machine

There are many areas to search and explore inside the USG Ishimura. Its layout is complex and vast, with creatures at every turn. Feeling like playing with the Greek Mythology Minotaur in the Labyrinth. These locations you will access through natural progression in the Dead Space storyline. Most of which is accessed through the use of the Tram system. With each Chapter taking place on a different part of the Ishimura, players need to search areas in their entirety and remember the locations of locked rooms should they level up their Clearance. Here is how to access the Mining Deak in Dead Space Remake.

The Route to Mining Deck

Finding the Mining Deck is relatively easy should you play through the path of the Chapters as any ordinary player. This core area of Dead Space known as the heart of Ishimura can simply be found by playing through Chapter 7. In this Chapter, players begin with heading towards the Mining Tram. As the objectives ask for you to head straight for the Mining Deck, all you need to do is play the game as you normally would, referring to the objective trail to follow. The doors will become accessible by playing through the game as getting to Chapter 7, ‘Into the Void’ Mission. Here, you are asked to ‘Activate Launch Tubes’ via the RIG Room.

One of the first things you can do inside the RIG Room is use the Bench to upgrade your equipment. From the RIG Room, you can access the Mining Elevator. However, with multiple power failures, your task is made harder. With creatures waiting around every corner as the system malfunctions. Rooms may require you to use Stasis to work your way around their obstacles. Once inside the heart of the Mining Deck, you see the machines at work keeping the USG Ishimura working. Remember that you can only access this area after completing Chapter 6. It is only accessible through natural progression of the game. This is a Mission filled with Zero Gravity areas, small Stasis puzzles and a whole lot of fighting off creatures.
