How to Get the Wanderer Strand Aspect in Destiny 2

Unlock this strong Strand Aspect!

Destiny 2 has just reached its official twentieth season, and dropping alongside the main game is an additional campaign called Lightfall which promises to be one of Bungie’s best yet. The futuristic FPS game has been a fan-favorite amongst players of the genre for years now, and not without good reason. Explore a new city on Neptune, known as Neomuna, and work to thwart the evil plans of the Witness and its newest Disciple, Calus, who is a familiar face that many veterans will certainly recognize. Choose from a variety of different weapons, classes and abilities while you complete the many quests and side missions that are in this newest expansion.

How Do You Get the Wanderer Strand Aspect in Destiny 2?

In order to obtain the Wanderer Strand Aspect in Lightfall, you will first have to complete the entire campaign. This means finishing all of the missions that it offers, as well as defeating Calus (if you dare!) and stopping his evil machinations. Once you have done that, you will need to earn Strand Meditations, which can be collected by using Strand abilities and completing quests in Neomuna, as well as generic activities like patrols.

Keep in mind that the Wanderer Aspect can be used only by Warlocks, while Hunters can use the Threaded Specter Aspect and Titans will be able to obtain the Flechette Storm Aspect. This means that if you prefer playing as one of the other classes, it might be better to try for one of those Aspects instead first! This will help players to craft more unique builds, since they need to take into account all three Aspects and the classes that they come with.

You can purchase Aspects from the Vendor located at Pouka Pond, which includes the Wanderer Strand Aspect. Using the picture above, head to Striders’ Gate and then go to Pouka Pond from there, around which you will find the merchant who sells all of the Aspects you are looking for.

All Aspects in the game will cost you 150 Strand Meditations each, while Fragments are worth 200 Strand Meditations and Grenade Abilities are priced at 50 Strand Meditations. Save up this currency until you have enough to buy what you’d like, and if the Wanderer Aspect is your goal then head to the merchant who is near Pouka Pond in Neomuna when you’re ready!

What Does the Wanderer Strand Aspect Do?

As of right now, we don’t know what the Wanderer Strand Aspect will do for your Warlock (the only class it is compatible with) in Destiny 2 Lightfall. However, we can be sure that it will be a powerful bonus to your Guardian’s prowess in combat, especially because it’s pricey, costing players 150 Strand Meditations to purchase. If we had to guess, it is likely that the Wanderer Strand Aspect will either boost existing Warlock powers or it will have something to do with movement, perhaps providing a buff in combat or some other change. Unfortunately though, we cannot say for sure what this new Strand Aspect will do in Destiny 2.

This holds true for all of the Strand Aspects, since none of them have yet been revealed, and we aren’t expecting them to come out until Season 21 when we’ll know exactly how they can be used. Until then, gamers will have to stay at the edge of their seats and wait patiently for a leak – this wouldn’t be the first time that Bungie let something slip!

How Can You Get Strand Meditations Quickly?

As we previously mentioned, you can get Strand Meditations by using your Strand abilities throughout the campaign and in the game. In order to accumulate a large number of Strand Meditations, we recommend that you farm them at the Vex Incursion Zone, which is a great place to use your Strand abilities and collect lots of Strand Meditations. Additionally, you should get some by simply going through the motions and completing various objectives in the world of Destiny 2.

What Is the Vex Incursion Zone?

This moving patrol zone can be found on your map by looking for the green-purple diamond-like shape which has various animated lines moving over it. It is located within the city of Neomuna, however the exact spot of the Vex Incursion Zone does not stay the same, so make sure you keep track of where it is! There will be plenty of Public Events and Patrols for you to participate in, and the Vex Incursion Zone is our favorite place for Guardians to head if they want to farm Strand Meditations.

Best Way to Farm in the Vex Incursion Zone

Since you need to defeat enemies using Strand abilities for them to drop Strand Meditations, it is important that you farm in places with a high number of hostiles. There is no better option than the Vex Incursion Zone, since opponents here actually have a higher chance of dropping Strand Meditations when they die as opposed to other places. Try outfitting your Guardian with Area of Effect weapons and abilities, such as grenade buffs, since you’ll want to take down as many enemies as you can with efficient timing.

Some other ways that you can get Strand Meditation are by completing patrols, which give you 7 Strand Meditations each, as well as Terminal Overload key chests which have the potential to give you a whopping 100 Strand Meditations. Completing Public Events and quests in Neomuna will reward you with Strand Meditations, and when you reach Nimbus Vendor Rank 18 you’ll be given 200 Strand Meditations.
