How to Get the Secret Ending in Alternate Watch

Warning: Evident Threat Located

Alternate Watch is one of the, if not the best Mandela Catalogue Game you can play right now. Although it is released in a semi-finished state as claimed by the Developer, Tesseron, it has a lot of potential, many scares and unusual Endings that on first glance, do not appear to be a conclusion for this game. However, Alternate Watch does offer a conclusion to its gameplay outside of its Spot the Difference, Observation Duty style of game. Because of this, many can assume that there is no Ending and that the same cutscene plays regardless of how you beat the game. But, there are hidden secrets within Alternate Watch and this guide will show you how to see everything, including the Secret Ending.

How to Beat Alternate Watch

The key to getting any Secret Endings in Alternate Watch is by completing the night and successfully reporting all Anomalies in the match. On average, you will need to find between 30-40 Anomalies. However, the problem with this is that you do not have any kind of Report Counter that you can refer to in Alternate Watch. GJ however, recommends that you should keep some form of tally yourself when attempting to locate and report all Anomalies. You can either install a Tap Counter on your phone, or go old school and use a pen and paper. This can help you keep track of how many Anomalies you have successfully Reported in the match.

What are the Endings in Alternate Watch?

There are multiple Endings in Alternate Watch which vary depending on whether you are completing Color/Black and White Mode or Dark Mode. As Dark Mode realistically acts as the Hard Mode of the game, this will offer you the Secret Ending. However, you can find little secrets in the outro part of the game where most players would skip to head back into another round. But the outro counts as the Ending, therefore you need to stick around to see the Government Announcement through when it appears on the screen. The reason for this is that you can see secret notes pointing towards some kind of suicide letter left behind by a victim to the Alternates. To see the first part of the letter you must Report all Anomalies in the match until 6am to get the Ending in the Color/Black and White Mode.

How to Get the Secret Ending

These Notes can be obtained in the end if you miss a few Anomalies but get to 6am anyways. On Color/Black and White Mode you will see the first part of the letter and by beating Dark Mode, you will read its final part. The Secret Ending you are looking for however is located on Dark Mode. You will need to once again successfully Report all Anomalies from 12am-6am and watch the Government Announcement. This time however, instead of the disturbing letter, you are placed inside a Hallway Camera Feed, where a Threat has been detected. In this Feed, you can move the Camera around via the arrow keys.

Without spoiling it as it is an interesting Ending, for those who are searching for it, you must beat Alternate Watch on Dark Mode and Report every Anomaly in the match. Be sure not to skip the cutscene at the end. If you need a full guide on how to beat Dark Mode, see our guide here.
