Inside the Backrooms is a survival horror game where players will be running for their life. And in this alternative ending, you’ll be doing just that. With multiple ending, players may be on the hunt to find them all, and the ‘Lost in the Backrooms’ achievement isn’t going to achieve itself. Here is how to get the ‘Lost inside the Backrooms’ ending in Inside the Backrooms.
How to get Lost Inside the Backrooms
The computer’s second purpose
This ending can only be achieved by clearing the Office Rooms and entering the pool section. You may be surprised to know that the computer that unlocked the blue door has another purpose, something that a dead hazmat will help you with.
After the giant pool with the arm creatures, you will enter a room with four pillars and a grate in the floor. Ahead is the way to final section before escaping the backrooms. In both of these rooms are the tools you need to initiate your alternative ending.
In the giant pool, to the side, is a note on a dead hazmat.
It enlightens you of a code, of an order. In the next room are four pillars. behind each pillar is a letter and a shape. The shape will correspond to the order sequence, and the letter in the middle will show you the input.

Using the shapes to determine the order, you will have a four-letter code fit for the computer. So, you’ll have to walk all the way back to the computer in the Office Rooms.
Once on the computer, you have to delete all existing text and then input your code. If it is correct, then a message will appear.
Make your way back to the pillar room, and you will notice that the grate over the hole has disappeared.
Run for your Life
Jump down. You will pretty much need a moth jelly for this bit, so I hope you didn’t waste them on the Partygoer section.
As you walk into the tight passage, you’ll notice that you can’t go back, so the only way is forwards. And forwards is where you’ll be going. Fairly soon, an entity will start chasing you down. All you can do is run.
As soon as it touches you, you’ll die. The Illuminous door will appear right next to your corpse, but then the monster will almost be right behind you when you respawn, so get a move on.
Objects will block your path, so you have to keep running around and evading them tightly, to avoid the creature gaining too much ground.
Once you have progressed enough, the doors will start swinging open, with arms reaching out to grab you. Again, contact is instant death. So you must evade the doors as they swing open only feet in front of you. You will soon run into a door at the other end.
With haste, run through it. The rest will play itself out…
